Tuesday Tunes

One of my favorite songs from The Beatles. I really dig the rare footage in this video, I like how hippie-esque and groovy they all look.

P.S. I usually think it's a silly question, but I will add my favorite Beatle is probably George. And yours?

Tuesday Tunes

I first heard this song in its remixed version for Baz Lurhmann's brilliant interpretation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet back in 1996. Orginally, it was a b-side on one of Radiohead's albums. It was one of those songs that captivated me right away. It's sexy and complex, dreamy and interesting. This track can be part of a lullaby playlist, or babymaking playlist (!), or even the background music to a night alone with a bottle of red wine. Enjoy :)

Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette has one of the most well-rounded and brilliant soundtracks. Ever. She inspires me so very much.

Siouxsie and the Banshees- Hong Kong Garden

Ah, New Order of course!

And a Phoenix cameo in the film, just for fun.

Tuesday Tunes

Regina Spektor is such a talented musician and the lyrics of her songs have always struck a chord with me. I discovered her in 2005 and she kept me company through lots of different stages in my life. I've enjoyed keeping her albums stored away and then bringing them out after a couple of months and falling in love with her music all over again.

Tuesday Tunes

A song from an album I always play while running errands around town, preferably with some sun and an iced coffee.
